Check-in at Llyn Gwynant Campsite is available between 2pm and 10:30pm. Check out is due by 11am on your final day. Arrivals after 10:30pm may park in the car park and pitch in the late arrivals area by reception.

Yes, Llyn Gwynant Campsite is dog friendly, with up to two dogs permitted per booking. They must be on leads on the site but we have dog walking area nearby.

BBQs and fire pits are welcome at Llyn Gwynant Campsite – just please ensure these are raised at least 6 inches from the ground. Please note that disposable BBQs are not allowed. The site provides raised fire pits for free, available on a first-come, first-served basis, or you can bring your own. Wood must be bought onsite.

Yes, Llyn Gwynant Campsite operates a quiet policy after 11pm, and requires silence after midnight. Please note too there is a day quiet policy too, with no music or streamed sound from any devices allowed. This is a quiet site and we do enforce our rules.

Yes, site-wide WiFi is available at Llyn Gwynant Campsite. This will be free of charge for your stay, but the signal may vary throughout certain areas of the park.

Llyn Gwynant Campsite offers a shared freezer for ice packs only. No food may be stored there – any food or drink placed there will be thrown out. There is no communal fridge, so bringing a cool box is recommended.

You need a cable with a standard blue 16 amp round CEE-form plug (commonly used on UK campsites). Household plugs do not fit directly into the EHU, so you will need an adapter if you want to use household appliances. A cable length of at least 10 metres is recommended, as EHU points can sometimes be located centrally and may not be right next to your pitch. Do not use high-powered devices such as electric heaters or microwaves with the EHU, especially in tents, as the supply is limited (generally 6 amp or 10 amp). Adapters and cables can be purchased from camping and caravan outlets or online.

There is good 4G coverage at the campsite so you should be to make calls, send texts and use mobile data on most networks while on site.

Yes, Llyn Gwynant Campsite does have an on-site shop, Siop Gwynant, which stocks a variety of grocery items, including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, cheese, alcohol, and a range of other basic camping essentials. It is open 8am–8pm, except midweek low season when it's open from 9–10am and 4–8pm.

The Cegin, the onsite bar and cafe at Llyn Gwynant Campsite serves breakfast with vegetarian and vegan options and in the evenings, Neapolitan pizzas, as well as additional food options. There is also an evening bar open from 9–5pm, serving beers, wines and spirits. Our brewery, Y Bragdy, is open on weekends from 2pm to 10pm.

No there is no fishing allowed. Please go to Eisteddfa fisheries in Criccieth.

The showers are shut between 2pm and 4pm for cleaning, and at night from 11pm to 7am. The toilets are shut for one hour per day to be cleaned. Night toilets are located near Bridge Field and the boat hire area and are open overnight only.

Local walking routes to around Llyn Gwynant Campsite include Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon hiking trails, hiking trails. The start of the most popular tracks are 45–90 minutes walk away – the start of the Watkin Path is to the south of the campsite, and that of the Miners’ and PYG tracks are to the north. There are many other shorter and easier walks from the site as well, including a gentle 90-minute ramble around the shores of beautiful Llyn Gwynant via the village of Nant Gwynant or a lovely one-hour walk to waterfalls on the Watkin Path.
