All campers arrive after 2pm and depart by 11am. Those booking unallocated and backpacker pitches may purchase an Early check-in (for arrival from 9am) or Late check-out (stay up to 7pm).
Arrivals are accepted until 10.30pm. If you arrive after this you may park in the carpark and pitch in the late arrivals area by reception. If no warden is around when you arrive, please follow instructions on the notice at reception.
Day visitors must book before they arrive – one car only per booking and no dogs please. We cannot always accept day visitors.
Large vans can only be accommodated in lakeside EHU bays. If you arrive for camping in a large van, such as a lwb Sprinter, you cannot drive through the barrier to the camping field and will have to leave it in our overflow car park at the site entrance.
Arrival and departure
-
A large carpark is alongside the reception building, and entry to the campsite is controlled by a barrier.
Rocks around the main camping fields separate cars from grass, where you pitch tents. Please park nose in to the rocks.
All taps on the site have drinking water taken from mountain streams and a borehole, and purified using ultraviolet light treatment. Water quality is checked regularly by the local council. Water can run short in peak season so please use water sparingly.
Boat hire is available at the river side for kayaks, canoes and SUPs – see Boat hire.
Firepoints are located throughout the campsite and have fire extinguishers as well as water taps.
No charging electric vehicles from EHUs as our electricity supply cannot cope – anyone found doing so will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.
Please leave your pitch tidy with all rubbish and recycling stowed in appropriate bins, which are in the carpark. Separating paper, plastic, cans and glass into the special bins is a condition of camping here.
A cassette waste emptying point is located next to the rubbish and recycling area in the main car park. No formaldehyde-based blue chemicals allowed.

Bragdy - our
brewery
The Bragdy is our brewery in a small woodland before the reception. Here we brew our own IPA, lager, bitter and stout, using only ancient glacial water from our bore, drawn from 50m below the valley floor. See the brewing take place inside or sit outside under trees, with food from the Cegin if you wish.
-
Established in 2025, the Bragdy and tap room are now a must for campers here.
The Bragdy is open throughout the season on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, on Sundays when there Is a bank holiday. Open from 2pm, last orders 10pm and closed by 10.30pm. Popular in the afternoon sunshine or for a final drink or two once the Cegin bar closes.
During school holidays the Bragdy is open all week opening from 4pm Sun to Thurs and 2pm Friday and Saturdays.
Food purchased from the Cegin may be enjoyed at the Bragdy where there is shelter from the rain and wind.
Our beers can be enjoyed in the Bragdy tap room overlooking the brewing equipment and process or enjoyed on the picnic benches under the canopy there surrounded by woodland. You can of course take beer to your tents or enjoy on the lake shore.
Our head brewer produces beers steeped in local myth and legend. He currently makes four distinctive beers, IPA, Bitter, Lager and a coffee stout.
Campers can enjoy beers that are completely unique to Llyn Gwynant. Spent grains from our brewing process help supplement our cattle’s feed whilst the left-over hops are used in our Ecobot machine, helping create a nutritious soil conditioner
Gift packs are available at the Bragdy, and in the shop to take home
